Senior PMO Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of complex PMO and transformation projects from inception to completion, encompassing problem identification, analysis, solution design, implementation, adoption, measurement, and ongoing enhancement.

• Develop and refine organization-wide practices related to project, program, delivery, governance, and cross-functional management.

• Identify systemic delivery and management challenges through the use of data, stakeholder feedback, project evaluations, and structured analysis.

• Convert identified issues into practical solutions, implementation strategies, success metrics, and measurable results.

• Lead specific segments of the PMO roadmap with defined objectives, accountability, execution discipline, and measurable business outcomes.

• Design and enhance governance, decision-making processes, procedures, controls, metrics, and feedback mechanisms.

• Drive organizational change that extends beyond documentation and process design, ensuring that new practices are comprehended, adopted, utilized, and continuously improved upon.

• Collaborate with senior leaders, Delivery, Engineering, Operations, and other departments to address cross-functional challenges and enhance organizational effectiveness.

• Facilitate intricate discussions and decision-making processes, constructively challenge ineffective practices, and foster stakeholder alignment.

• Provide specialized PMO expertise and assistance to delivery teams and strategic initiatives.

• Evaluate solution effectiveness, pinpoint discrepancies between anticipated and actual results, and modify approaches as necessary.

• Enhance project and delivery management capabilities through assessments, mentoring, interviews, training, and knowledge advancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in IT Project, Program, Delivery, or PMO Management, with a solid hands-on delivery background.

• Strong capabilities in project and program management, encompassing planning, governance, dependencies, risk management, decision-making, execution oversight, and continuous improvement.

• Exceptional structured problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

• Proficient in identifying root causes, leveraging data, and translating insights into actionable decisions and initiatives.

• Strong business judgment.

• Ability to establish meaningful success metrics and assess initiative outcomes.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence without formal authority, negotiate, provide constructive challenges, and facilitate difficult decisions.

• Experience in change and process management, covering implementation, stakeholder buy-in, and sustainability of change.

• Capable of functioning effectively amidst ambiguity, complexity, and evolving organizational landscapes.

• Proven track record of leading complex cross-functional initiatives, transformations, governance enhancements, or organizational changes.

• Adept at independently navigating ambiguous problems from diagnosis through to solution design, stakeholder alignment, implementation, adoption, and measurable outcomes.

• High degree of ownership and agency.

• Strong work ethic, resilience, and a commitment to remaining hands-on when necessary.

• Solid business acumen and the ability to link PMO initiatives with delivery, client, operational, and organizational goals.

• Comprehensive understanding of contemporary project and delivery management methodologies.

• Outstanding communication, facilitation, collaboration, and presentation abilities, particularly in interactions with senior stakeholders.

• Capacity to mentor others, elevate professional standards, and instill accountability through clear expectations and constructive feedback.

• Proficient in English at an Upper-Intermediate level or above.

• PMI or equivalent professional certifications are preferred.

• Familiarity with project, program, portfolio, or organizational maturity models is advantageous.

• Experience in designing or enhancing PMO governance and operational models is desirable.

• Background in pre-sales or client-facing consulting is advantageous.

• Practical experience in utilizing AI and automation to enhance management, delivery, analytics, or operational workflows is desirable.
