Senior PLC Software Developer, CODESYS V3

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Development and enhancement of the PLC software platform utilizing CODESYS V3.

• Programming contemporary automation applications in Structured Text (ST) for process engineering facilities.

• Creation and refinement of intelligent control algorithms for biological processes and PID control loops.

• Parameterization, commissioning, and fine-tuning of control and regulation systems at client sites.

• Analysis and resolution of complex software, automation, and control challenges during ongoing plant operations.

• Further enhancement of existing software modules, including testing, final acceptance, documentation, and new functionalities.

• Technical coordination with process engineering, electrical design, project management, as well as national and international clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with substantial hands-on experience.

• Several years of professional experience in PLC programming.

• Strong proficiency in CODESYS V3.

• Excellent programming capabilities in Structured Text (ST).

• Experience in modular software development.

• Solid understanding of control engineering and practical application of PID controllers.

• Ideally, experience in plant construction, process automation, or water and wastewater technology.

• Familiarity with Siemens TIA Portal, C/C++, process control systems, or visualization is a plus.

• Proficient German language skills.

• Good English language skills.

• Willingness to travel occasionally.
