This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Work closely with a dedicated team to support Red Hat partners.
• Offer practical technical and architectural guidance for partners developing solutions with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Build relationships with key business and IT stakeholders while understanding the business goals and priorities of partners.
• Conduct technical reviews and share knowledge to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues.
• Inform partners about technology changes or possible service disruptions and recommend strategies for mitigation.
• Provide advice to partners on both current and future Red Hat products.
• Diagnose technical problems and facilitate issue escalation among Red Hat, partner, and customer teams.
• Analyze and present regular operational performance reviews to leadership.
• Manage partner use cases while maintaining clear and concise documentation.
• Develop partner engagement plans and ensure solution documentation remains current.
• Cultivate and enhance partner relationships through attentive, relationship-focused support.
• Act as an advocate for partners within Red Hat, fostering trust.
• Share insights and best practices, contribute to internal projects and initiatives, and serve as a technical or process subject matter expert and mentor.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Technical Support teams to troubleshoot, test, and resolve issues.
• Travel as needed to meet with partners and attend regional events.
• Support enterprise partners in implementing Red Hat Enterprise Linux-based products and services.
• Learn and apply technologies such as container orchestration, container registries, container build strategies, and microservices on container platforms.
• Stay aligned with Red Hat's cloud technologies strategy.
• Aid in developing solution patterns that promote platform adoption.
• Engage field teams, customers, and partners to ensure positive experiences with cloud technology and successful long-term enterprise outcomes.
• Clearly communicate how Red Hat cloud solutions and roadmap align with partner use cases.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux system administration.
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux in a production environment of enterprise scale.
• Experience in administering Linux storage using logical volumes.
• Proficient in Linux patching strategies and tools for large-scale deployments.
• Extensive troubleshooting experience in both physical and virtual Linux environments.
• Familiarity with Linux containers and container management tools.
• Knowledge of cloud and server virtualization technologies.
• Commitment to staying updated on the latest technologies and engaging in career development.
• Proven ability to manage and enhance existing enterprise partner relationships through proactive, relationship-focused support.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; capable of conveying complex information to partners in a clear and concise manner.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture and strategic business drivers.
• Capability to manage multiple issues and projects while paying attention to detail.
• Direct experience with a diverse range of technology partners.
• Ability to develop and present on various technical topics.
• Experience in support, operations, development, engineering, or quality assurance is advantageous.
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with the Red Hat product portfolio is beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field, preferably in computer science or engineering, is an advantage.
• Experience working with RHEL Image Mode is a plus.
• Prior experience in technical leadership or mentorship is beneficial.
• Technical knowledge of the Linux kernel and file system is advantageous.
• Expertise in PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS is a plus.
• Proficiency with Red Hat Ansible is a plus.
• Experience in containerizing applications for deployment in cloud environments is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Git is an advantage.
• Experience with storage configuration, deployment, and administration is a plus.
