
Senior Platform Manager, Payment Platform Accounts

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +17 more states.
β’ Ownership of Account Foundations, managing payment requirements in collaboration with the Trust, Guest & Host, and Compliance teams at Airbnb, while implementing logical account structures and external account orchestration to support various payment use cases.
β’ Collaborate on account receivables and loss-reduction initiatives where Payment Accounts capabilities can enhance user experience, improve operational clarity, or positively impact risk outcomes.
β’ Assess account-related user data to comprehend evolving behaviors and needs concerning payment activity and management. Data signals regarding payment preferences contribute to enriching the passport profile (identity graph) associated with all marketplace users. These signals may also help mitigate false positive risks and compliance actions.
β’ Maintain ongoing transparency and management of various business-related information and contacts to minimize downstream friction or unnecessary account restrictions. This area also involves managing account access for multiple users with privileges to data, actions, and payment methods.
β’ Over 7 years of experience in developing payment platforms or fintech products in a product management capacity, with a proven history of owning strategy, roadmap, and execution.
β’ Proven experience in creating enterprise or B2B2C products for large marketplaces, possessing a deep understanding of identity workflows, compliance requirements, and fraud and loss management.
β’ Experience in building or managing API-based products and developer-facing platforms, with the capability to engage credibly with engineering teams and external developer partners.
β’ Experience contributing to products that cater to users across various geographies, currencies, or regulatory environments.
β’ Ability to establish a clear product area strategy, define success criteria, and develop a roadmap, while aligning cross-functional partners on priorities and trade-offs.
β’ Exceptional skills in prioritization and decision-making: able to make clear trade-offs and communicate reasoning to stakeholders at all levels in the face of competing needs and limited resources.
β’ Proven ability to forge strong partnerships within and outside the Product organization, including collaborations with operations, compliance, finance, legal, and external enterprise customers.
