This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Assist clients in the Los Angeles, CA area.
• Increase sales of Mentor products and transition competitive products in alignment with company policies and sales strategies.
• Attain Mentor product sales for both new and existing accounts to meet sales targets and enhance market presence.
• Comprehend and exhibit the appropriate surgical application of products to healthcare professionals.
• Address customer inquiries and objections regarding products using sales training methodologies.
• Sustain and grow existing accounts, establish new ones, foster customer relationships, and achieve sales goals.
• Execute the sales process in a clear, professional, ethical, and convincing manner.
• Relay business-related concerns or opportunities to higher management levels.
• Cultivate customer relationships and manage accounts through consultative selling, pre-call preparation, customer needs assessments, presentations, closing techniques, and follow-up.
• Build relationships with customers, nurture and support Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and allocate marketing initiatives.
• Position the Mentor product line for use in augmentation and reconstruction settings.
• Oversee multiple product call points, including private practices, surgical centers, and hospitals.
• Evaluate territory metrics and formulate and execute territory business plans.
• Launch and advocate marketing programs in private practice environments.
• Fulfill sales training, administrative obligations, timelines, and consignment audits.
• Maintain territory within the constraints of regional travel and budgetary limits.
• Leverage market knowledge and technical expertise across Mentor and competitive product lines.
• Support studies and materials while executing the marketing strategy across the product portfolio.
• Communicate strategies effectively to customers, management, and team members.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4-6 years of overall work experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in outside sales.
• Surgical sales experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with clinical and surgical techniques, procedures, and medical terminology is preferred.
• Typically manages annual sales ranging from $1.5M to $3.5M, demonstrating consistent performance for 3 out of the last 4 years.
• 4+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of 2+ years of success in a medical device sales environment is preferred.
• Experience selling to surgeons in an operating room setting and/or calling on plastic surgeons is preferred.
• Experience in aesthetics sales and calling on plastic surgeons is preferred.
• Ability to identify decision-makers and influence their decisions.
• Capable of managing and prioritizing tasks, multitasking, and handling various issues and responsibilities.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in managing budgets, expenses, and executing strategies.
• Strong computer proficiency.
• Ability to work effectively within a high-performance team environment.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• Capable of articulating scientific and clinical features and benefits of products.
