Senior Philanthropy Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Direct the formulation and implementation of the Royal Voluntary Service’s philanthropy strategy.

• Develop, oversee, and nurture a portfolio of major donors, family foundations, and strategic funders.

• Identify, research, and assess new prospects and funding opportunities.

• Secure substantial gifts and establish multi-year partnerships.

• Create persuasive funding propositions in collaboration with colleagues throughout the organization.

• Assist the CEO, trustees, and senior volunteers in engaging with donors and prospects.

• Manage forecasting, pipeline reporting, CRM administration, and performance assessment.

• Foster a culture of exceptional stewardship and relationship management.

• Contribute to the broader Partnerships & Philanthropy strategy and drive income growth.

• Lead and expand the relational fundraising portfolio, with a primary focus on high-net-worth individuals and family offices.

• Refine the strategy and establish a sustainable funding pipeline.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of philanthropy, major donor, and family foundation fundraising practices in the UK.

• Thorough understanding of donor cultivation, stewardship, pipeline management, and fundraising reporting.

• Insight into the UK charitable fundraising landscape.

• Exceptional relationship-building and influencing abilities.

• Strong networking, prospect development, and stakeholder management skills.

• Capacity to create compelling funding propositions and cases for support.

• Solid financial forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting expertise.

• Ability to collaborate effectively and influence colleagues across the organization.

• Significant experience in securing five- and six-figure donations.

• Proven success in generating income growth through relationship fundraising.

• Experience in managing complex donor pipelines and forecasting income.

• Experience working with trustees and senior stakeholders.

• Experience in line managing and developing staff is beneficial as this area and team expand.

• Proficiency in using CRM systems to manage donor relationships.
