Senior Payroll Specialist, Bilingual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Process weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for various companies across multiple states.

• Oversee payroll for both hourly and salaried personnel, including commissions, bonuses, draws, deductions, PTO accruals, and reimbursements.

• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations, particularly California wage and hour laws.

• Assist with payroll integrations and transitions for newly acquired entities.

• Review payroll data, conduct reconciliations, manage reporting, and handle year-end payroll processing.

• Coordinate payroll tax registrations, notices, and requirements for multi-state payroll compliance.

• Support timecard management for hourly employees working in the field.

• Facilitate BambooHR Payroll administration, payroll reporting, and enhancements to payroll processes.

• Provide assistance to employees and managers regarding payroll-related inquiries and support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-state payroll.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential.

• Proven experience processing payroll across multiple EINs and payroll schedules.

• Strong understanding of payroll compliance as well as wage and hour regulations.

• Experience with California payroll is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with commissions, bonuses, deductions, and complex payroll systems.

• Proficient in payroll systems such as BambooHR or similar HRIS/payroll platforms.

• Excellent skills in Excel, organization, and problem-solving.

• Experience with payroll integrations, acquisitions, or payroll conversions is highly desirable.

• Background in construction, field workforce, or multi-location companies is advantageous.

• Must have a professional home office setup.

• Reliable high-speed internet connection is required.

• Capable of participating in video meetings and effectively using company communication systems.

• Must be available to work in MST, PST, and CST time zones.
