Senior Payroll Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee payroll operations for approximately 800 employees across the U.S. and Canada.

• Manage comprehensive semi-monthly payroll processing, ensuring precision, punctuality, and compliance.

• Guarantee adherence to federal, state/provincial, and local payroll tax laws and reporting standards.

• Take ownership of payroll issue resolution while working alongside internal and external stakeholders.

• Collaborate with People Operations, Benefits, and external vendors on payroll-related transactions and benefit deductions.

• Act as a subject matter expert in payroll best practices, regulations, and system functionalities.

• Identify opportunities for standardizing and scaling payroll processes and procedures.

• Assist with year-end tasks, including W-2s, T4s, tax submissions, and audits.

• Mentor and support the Payroll Administrator.

• Provide payroll reporting and analysis, and engage in cross-functional initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline AND 7+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in U.S. and Canadian payrolls, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• In-depth knowledge of federal and state/provincial payroll tax regulations.

• Proficiency with payroll systems; experience with ADP Workforce Now is highly preferred.

• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels and collaborate with key stakeholders.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and analytical abilities.

• Capacity to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

• Experience in cross-functional work environments.

• Certification as a Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent designation is advantageous.
