This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Navigate the Canadian reimbursement framework to secure coverage with both public and private payers.
• Lead the appeal writing process in collaboration with the assigned Patient Support Program (PSP) point of contact.
• Develop, implement, and support updates on reimbursement, training, best-practice sharing, strategies, and products.
• Initiate cases with insurance companies and healthcare professionals to optimize reimbursement solutions.
• Respond promptly and courteously to incoming calls, emails, and voicemails.
• Set and process tasks in a timely manner to ensure the best possible patient and physician experiences.
• Enroll patients into the Patient Support Program.
• Coordinate and monitor patient services to ensure timely and continued access to therapy.
• Update the CRM system electronically and provide proactive updates to patients and clinics.
• Report Adverse Events and Severe Adverse Events in accordance with SOP guidelines.
• Maintain necessary service levels for clients, projects, and initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal business units and provide feedback to the Manager.
• Complete billing, timesheets, expenses, mileage, and CRM reports within the required timelines.
• Build organizational relationships and manage special projects.
• Uphold professionalism and strict confidentiality.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
• Previous experience in appeal writing with a demonstrated history of successful outcomes.
• Prior experience in specialty pharmacy is regarded as a significant asset.
• Experience in Gastroenterology and/or Dermatology is also considered a strong advantage.
• Experience working directly with Physicians and Healthcare Professionals, with a comprehensive understanding of patient flow, is required.
• Previous experience in Patient Support Programs is preferred.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and phone systems.
• Experience working with databases, including ERP/CRM systems.
• Extensive computer and software proficiency.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage changing priorities independently.
• Accurate data entry skills for both paper and electronic forms.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of private and public reimbursement structures, systems, and navigation processes is required.
• Ability to work from home in a quiet, private office environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical abilities, including the interpretation of regulations and legislation.
• Understanding of the pharmaceutical distribution industry is required.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
