This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take charge of the entire recruitment lifecycle for executive, leadership, and specialized positions.
• Conduct intake and calibration meetings with hiring managers.
• Identify passive candidates utilizing job boards, Boolean and X-ray searches, professional networks, associations, referrals, social media, and direct outreach.
• Establish and sustain a continuous talent bench and cultivate candidate pipelines.
• Oversee requisitions, job advertisements, and candidate movement within the Workday ATS/HRIS.
• Create structured interview and assessment frameworks.
• Track and report on requisition statuses, pipeline health, time-to-fill metrics, sourcing effectiveness, and other relevant recruiting statistics.
• Provide guidance to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process with updates on pipelines, market insights, and interview coaching.
• Facilitate debriefing sessions and decision-making discussions.
• Maintain consistent communication with candidates and handle sensitive discussions with care.
• Represent DIRECTV’s mission, culture, and value proposition as an employer.
• Demonstrate Talent Acquisition best practices and enhance peer performance without direct management responsibilities.
• Collaborate with Compensation on competitive offers and engage with leadership on immigration/visa matters.
• Oversee onboarding, operational processes, and background/reference checks up to day one.
• Direct compensation strategies, develop and present offer packages, and negotiate salary, bonuses, equity, relocation, and retention scenarios.
• Ensure offers align with pay equity standards, approval workflows, and regulatory requirements.
• 5–7+ years of progressive experience in full-cycle recruiting, executive search, or talent acquisition.
• Direct accountability for leadership-level and specialized recruitment efforts.
• Proven success in sourcing and securing passive candidates through job boards, Boolean searches, professional networking platforms, industry associations, and referral networks.
• Experience in leading and finalizing complex compensation negotiations, including intricate bonus arrangements.
• Ability to develop consultative relationships with senior hiring managers and executives.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience collaborating across functions on hiring strategies and offer implementation.
• Sound judgment and discretion concerning confidential, sensitive, or high-visibility searches.
• Capacity to work independently with strategic insight and disciplined execution.
• Advanced proficiency in ATS and HRIS systems preferred; experience with Workday is highly preferred.
• Talent marketing experience, including programmatic job distribution, SEO/SEM, paid social media, and career site optimization, preferred.
• Established professional network and industry presence preferred.
• Experience in recruiting for media, entertainment, telecommunications, or technology sectors preferred.
• Familiarity with executive compensation frameworks preferred.
• Experience mentoring within a broader talent acquisition team preferred.
• A background check may be required due to regular access to proprietary data.
