This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver and coordinate legal services on intricate and/or high-value matters for designated business units or initiatives.
• Assist with transactions and activities to ensure legal integrity and alignment with TNC’s mission, authority, policies, and procedures.
• Clearly communicate relevant legal concepts along with internal policies and procedures.
• Utilize knowledge of legal liability and risk management.
• Collaborate with legal team members to acquire and safeguard conservation real property.
• Evaluate grant agreements that support protective efforts.
• Draft and update contracts related to nature-based climate solutions.
• Partner with preserve staff to ensure that preserve operations run safely and efficiently.
• Perform legal research and assist with complex legal analyses.
• A bachelor’s degree paired with 5 years of combined legal and administrative experience, or equivalent qualifications obtained through coursework and/or relevant job experience demonstrating significant responsibility in supporting and coordinating complex or specialized legal work, with the ability to conduct legal analysis.
• Proven experience in drafting and revising intricate legal documents and transactions, including real estate agreements and/or grant agreements.
• Commercial transactional legal experience, including knowledge of real estate and corporate legal concepts, as well as due diligence.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• Proficient writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
• Experience in conducting research using the Internet and other legal resources.
• Familiarity with MS Office, including Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, iManage, and other pertinent technologies.
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of tracking and prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously.
