This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +3 more states.
• Initiate a substantial volume of outbound sales calls, including cold outreach to seasoned financial advisors.
• Maintain engagement with current prospects and recruiting partners.
• Identify experienced financial advisors and/or financial institutions interested in partnering with Raymond James.
• Evaluate optimal business models and provide referrals.
• Arrange meetings for recruiters and management personnel.
• Schedule, confirm, and follow up post-meetings.
• Recognize alternative business models based on advisor insights and consultations with recruiting partners.
• Foster relationships with recruiting partners.
• Aid in crafting business development strategies.
• Collaborate proactively with advisors, recruiting partners, and firm relationships.
• Build connections and assist in achieving firm, team, and individual objectives.
• Execute other assigned responsibilities.
• A bachelor's degree along with 3-5 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or financial services.
• An equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
• Familiarity with business development concepts, practices, and procedures within a financial services context.
• Understanding of investment concepts, practices, and procedures utilized in the securities sector.
• Knowledge of finance principles and operations within the securities industry.
• Insight into financial markets and products.
• Experience in sourcing and developing sales prospects using a proprietary CRM system.
• Capability to make a high volume of outbound cold calls and convert them into recruiting opportunities.
• Proficient questioning and listening skills, including the ability to handle objections effectively.
• Competence with standard office equipment and software for correspondence, reporting, electronic communication, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Ability to research, interpret, analyze, and apply information regarding prospects.
• Skill in organizing, managing, and tracking multiple detailed tasks and assignments in a fast-paced setting.
• Effective oral and written communication abilities with all levels of the organization.
• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Willingness to travel less than 25%.
