Senior Order to Cash Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the order-to-cash process from the initial order creation through invoicing, collections, and cash application.

• Manage dunning processes, keep an eye on AR aging, engage in direct customer outreach, and address disputes and escalations alongside Sales and Customer Success.

• Lead the implementation of new billing and revenue systems, ensuring alignment with accounting requirements and stakeholders.

• Identify and implement automation and AI-driven workflows in invoicing and collections.

• Collaborate with GTM, Deal Desk, and Product teams on new SKU launches, ensuring billing and accounting readiness is validated.

• Oversee the month-end close process for bookings and billings in conjunction with Deal Strategy and Operations teams and Revenue Accounting.

• Work with Engineering and Product to guarantee accurate capture and reporting of usage data into billing systems.

• Develop strategies to sustain collections, enhance cash flow, and reduce bad debt exposure.

• Act as the main point of contact for AR and billing during external audits.

• Create documentation, playbooks, and standard operating procedures for the order-to-cash process.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; a CPA is advantageous.

• Over 8 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, revenue accounting, or order-to-cash, preferably within a high-growth technology company.

• Proven experience managing hybrid revenue models (recurring subscription plus consumption).

• Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets for reconciliation and data analysis.

• Familiarity with using Snowflake queries for data retrieval and analysis; SQL proficiency is a plus.

• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities, demonstrated by effective partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders.

• Understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles and their application to billing.

• Experience in creating AI-driven workflows that involve multiple data sources and/or system integration points.

• Comfortable handling detailed operational tasks while managing strategic initiatives.

• Proven history of developing or revamping finance processes and systems, with sound judgment on immediate versus deferred needs.

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Salesforce, and contemporary billing and collections tools.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country where this position is located; sponsorship inquiries will be included in the application.
