This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Offer database administration support for Oracle WebCenter Portal, DOE Budgeting System (Oracle Hyperion), DOE Financial System (Oracle EBS), and the core databases that support DOE applications.
• Install, configure, and manage Oracle AI Database 26ai in both production and development settings.
• Design, implement, and provide guidance on Oracle SSO, OID, and OAM, ensuring integration with DOE OneID.
• Conduct installations, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Oracle Fusion Middleware, including WebCenter Portal and WebCenter Content (UCM).
• Support data warehouse environments and ETL processes.
• Propose and execute database security, backup, recovery, redundancy, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Implement automated monitoring and track database storage, availability, performance, and overall system health.
• Execute database health assessments and prepare quality assurance and performance evaluations in collaboration with CBS and OCIO teams.
• Carry out database performance analysis, capacity planning, system sizing, and ongoing maintenance tasks.
• Provide break/fix support, address production defects, and implement changes to stabilize systems.
• Assist in resolving cybersecurity issues.
• Maintain comprehensive system documentation, baseline configurations, SOPs, installation and upgrade records, security documentation, and event logs.
• Aid system owners and CBS security personnel with annual Assessment and Authorization (A&A) and ATO procedures.
• Facilitate internal and external data requests.
• Review Oracle Critical Patch Updates, offer input, and coordinate testing and implementation across different environments.
• Provide support for DOE applications across Development, Sandbox, Test, Performance, Training, and Production environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, along with 8 years of relevant experience in Oracle Federal Financials and Oracle Hyperion; alternatively, 9–10 years of relevant experience is acceptable without a degree.
• Approximately two-thirds of the experience must involve hands-on work as a Database Administrator, particularly in installing, configuring, and supporting Oracle OID, OAM, and SSO.
• Strong comprehension of Oracle databases, alongside related utilities and tools.
• Significant experience in performance tuning and monitoring.
• Knowledge of load balancers, storage solutions, and cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Windows Server and IIS.
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery processes.
• Understanding of Oracle security management and data integrity principles.
• Experience with code migration, database change management, and data management throughout the development lifecycle.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance.
• Practical experience in setting up, configuring, and integrating Oracle Internet Directory (OID), Oracle Access Manager (OAM), and Oracle Single Sign-On (SSO), including integration with DOE OneID.
• Hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and managing Oracle AI Database 26ai in production and development settings.
• Practical experience supporting data warehouse environments and ETL processes, including related Oracle products such as Oracle Data Integrator and OBIEE/Oracle Analytics.
