📋 Description

• Design and develop optimization algorithms, which encompass mathematical programming, decomposition methods, and metaheuristics.

• Establish decision variables, constraints, objectives, trade-offs between feasibility and optimality, and operational acceptance criteria.

• Model both static and dynamic real-time optimization as well as sequential decision-making challenges.

• Prototype and validate methodologies, subsequently refining them into robust and maintainable production components.

• Articulate the trade-offs between exact methods and heuristics, runtime versus optimality gap, and solution robustness versus complexity.

• Produce production-ready code for optimization pipelines and services.

• Construct and sustain robust data ingestion and cleaning pipelines.

• Integrate optimization services into workflow orchestration layers and the broader product stack.

• Implement logging, monitoring/metrics, error handling, retries, fallbacks, and automated regression testing.

• Contribute to cloud deployment practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Ensure reproducibility, traceability, and secure releases.

• Collaborate with clients to gather specifications and comprehend their domains.

• Define value metrics such as service levels, costs, throughput, resilience, and sustainability.

• Communicate modeling choices, results, assumptions, limitations, and validation evidence effectively.

• Assess post-deployment impact and iterate based on operational feedback.

• Adhere to current and contribute to future engineering standards for optimization components.

• Conduct code reviews to enhance correctness, performance, readability, testability, and maintainability.

• Mentor and train team members on optimization topics and best practices for delivery.

• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and domain experts within a cross-functional product/delivery team.

• Deliver end-to-end decision-support capabilities encompassing algorithms, data, integration, runtime, and observability.
