
Senior Oncology Account Specialist – Hematology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Advocate for Pfizer’s product range to healthcare providers and specialists.
• Inform members of the healthcare community about the proper use of Pfizer products.
• Engage with accounts and organized customers to enhance patient experiences with Pfizer products and overall patient care quality.
• Strengthen Pfizer’s brand presence among high-value target customers.
• Analyze account and business environments and align insights with Pfizer products and resources.
• Promote a diverse array of products.
• Create demand for Pfizer products within designated accounts.
• Formulate comprehensive plans for territories, accounts, and customers to meet objectives.
• Sustain relationships across institutions.
• Navigate challenges to access hard-to-reach healthcare providers and customers.
• Build and nurture relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and maintain strong connections with priority customers.
• Evaluate the needs of target physicians and accounts and respond with tailored approaches, skills, and resources.
• Engage, influence, and assist customers throughout the sales process.
• Collaborate in a matrix environment and utilize various resources to fulfill customer needs and achieve results.
• Travel across Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Ithaca, and nearby areas.
• BA/BS Degree from an accredited institution OR an associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically and stay overnight as required.
• Valid US driver’s license and driving record that meets company standards.
• Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you from consideration.
• Minimum of 4 years of prior Pharmaceutical Sales experience OR at least 4 years of previous Oncology Healthcare Professional (HCP) experience working with key Oncology thought leaders or influential customers in hospitals, large group practices, or managed care organizations.
• Proven history of success and achievement in prior Pharmaceutical Sales or Healthcare Professional (HCP) roles.
• Exceptional ability to learn and communicate technical and scientific product and disease management information to a diverse customer base.
• Demonstrated strong business acumen.
• Proficiency in using complex digital applications and adaptability to Pfizer’s long-term technology model.
• 3–5 years of Oncology sales experience is preferred.
• Experience in the Hematology Therapeutic Area is preferred.
• Master’s Degree is preferred.
• Advanced Healthcare Professional (HCP) Degree is preferred.
• Experience engaging with institutions, NCI centers, and Key Opinion Leaders is preferred.
• Strong understanding of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant customers and markets.
• Skills in strategic account selling and management.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States.
