This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +9 more states.
• Acquire new Charter, Private, and Parochial customers/partners for NWEA products and services.
• Enhance NWEA’s leadership presence within the designated geography.
• Identify and cultivate strategic relationships with Charter Management Organizations, Dioceses, private school networks, and educational institutions.
• Develop and qualify leads, transforming them into opportunities and finalized sales.
• Create and oversee territory plans and strategies aimed at penetrating and expanding within the assigned region.
• Prospect and close opportunities for MAP Growth, MAP Reading Fluency with Coach, Professional Development, and additional HMH products and services.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Partner Support, Professional Learning, Proposals, Partner Accounts, NWEA, and HMH teams.
• Engage in and facilitate partner contributions to NWEA product strategies, design, timelines, and development.
• Mentor and coach fellow Account Executives as designated.
• Act as a liaison between partners and various NWEA divisions.
• Manage intricate sales cycles that involve multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of NWEA products, services, the education market, relevant laws, trends, and competitors.
• Utilize a consultative sales approach to educate partners about product and service features and benefits.
• Manage prospect opportunities and pipeline within Salesforce, ensuring accurate data maintenance.
• Present pricing, credit, and terms in accordance with established procedures and contractual obligations.
• Process and schedule partner quotes and orders efficiently.
• Travel as necessary, averaging 25% of the time.
• Execute other duties assigned to support the team and organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, business, or a related field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of field sales experience, preferably in the educational market.
• Proven track record of generating qualified opportunities.
• Capability to navigate deals through the sales cycle, negotiate, and successfully close deals.
• Demonstrated history of sales success and ability to surpass personal and team objectives.
• Proficiency in analyzing and translating complex partner needs into NWEA business offerings.
• Experience in defining and evaluating deliverables, parameters, and language for partnerships, agreements, and contracts.
• Ability to inspire, unify, and collaborate with cross-organizational teams.
• Familiarity with sales methodologies like Miller Heiman and Strategic Selling.
• Strong organizational abilities.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills.
• Commitment to the NWEA mission and culture.
• Proficiency in managing sales relationships, pipelines, and opportunities within a CRM system; Salesforce experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of the education market, school and business operations, and functions.
• Ability to engage in impactful conversations with senior school and district contacts and administrators.
• A diverse personal network of educators is advantageous.
• Strategic focus in developing and implementing territory plans.
• Capacity to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals and independently.
• Ability to fulfill the physical and intellectual demands of the role, with or without accommodation.
• Experience in initiating, acquiring, and expanding mid-sized and strategic accounts is preferred.
• Familiarity with NWEA products, services, procedures, and implementation is preferred.
• In-depth understanding of the K–12 education sector and assessment methodologies.
• Average travel requirement of 25%.
• Territory encompasses WA, OR, NV, UT, AZ, CO, MT, SD, NE, and OK.
• Salary range of $100,000–$115,000 plus commissions.
