This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee case support for designated physicians, hospitals, and clinics within a specific geographical area.
• Facilitate care coordination, reimbursement, clinical monitoring, and issue resolution to ensure patients can access services and drug therapies.
• Offer medical assistance and education to patients and healthcare providers regarding disease, therapy, and disease management.
• Provide both inbound and outbound telephone support, which includes maintenance and adherence calls.
• Implement case-management protocols that encompass clinical monitoring, data collection, patient follow-up, compliance, therapy disruptions or discontinuations, and adverse event reporting.
• Organize documentation necessary for securing prescription drug coverage through private, public, and federal funding programs.
• Collaborate with insurers, physician offices, healthcare professionals, pharmacies, and agencies to identify reimbursement solutions, coordinate drug delivery, and resolve issues.
• Maintain precise case information, manage databases, and conduct ongoing audits of files and collected data.
• Communicate effectively with the manager, team, and client regarding patient case management.
• Participate in patient meetings, conferences, and specialized therapy training sessions.
• Foster relationships with patient associations, advocacy groups, and pharmaceutical partners.
• Work alongside program colleagues to develop and implement disease-management programs, patient materials, compliance standards, needs assessments, and protocols.
• Assist in the training of new Nurse Case Managers through shadowing and call monitoring.
• Proficiency in both French and English is essential.
• Bachelor’s degree or Registered Nurse diploma is required.
• A minimum of five years of nursing experience is necessary.
• Experience in healthcare and case management within a medical or hospital setting, insurance environment, or biopharmaceutical industry is expected.
• Background in third-party reimbursement, pharmaceutical sales, managed care, clinical support, or related fields is a plus.
• Capability to comprehend and communicate medical information clearly and appropriately.
• Strong focus on patient care, excellent customer service, telephone etiquette, and both written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, multitask, and perform effectively under pressure.
• Proficient negotiation, interpersonal, leadership, analytical, mathematical, business, and financial skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong internet research skills and general computer proficiency.
