Senior Network Engineer – LAN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Engage with external clients to resolve any issues related to network connectivity.

• Collaborate closely with Network Architects and Engineers to enhance data center network environments.

• Initiate various projects aimed at improving Network Operations.

• Work in partnership with internal business units to thoroughly understand the organization's requirements and to perpetually enhance and implement standards for operational excellence.

• Assess, analyze, and implement network change requests.

• Execute, document, and create network automation for repetitive processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in managing medium-to-large enterprise networks.

• Practical expertise in: Network security (Palo Alto firewalls), Load balancing (F5 or similar), Routing (MPLS, OSPF, BGP), Switching (Cisco Nexus 9k/7k/5k/2k).

• Familiarity with Cisco IOS (preferably Nexus OS).

• Proven understanding of platform operating systems (router platforms, LAN, WAN, and routing protocols), MPLS, OSPF, and BGP, and their interactions within the network.

• Experience in datacenter networking (DC fabric, interoffice routing, site-to-site VPNs).

• Excellent troubleshooting capabilities and a data-driven approach to resolving complex network challenges.

• Proficiency in creating and maintaining network documentation (diagrams, runbooks).

• Experience in deploying solutions involving large data centers, interoffice routing strategies, site-to-site VPNs, firewalls, IPSec, monitoring, etc., is advantageous.
