Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, execution, and management of a robust and scalable network infrastructure.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers.

• Configure and administer Fortinet firewalls to maintain the highest security standards.

• Develop and implement intricate routing and switching solutions utilizing Cisco switches.

• Design, implement, and manage a global Meraki wireless network environment.

• Act as a liaison and subject matter expert among architecture, security, and engineering teams.

• Integrate technical solutions into complex, client-facing production environments.

• Own, plan, and execute highly complex, secure, high-risk, multifaceted changes in accordance with change management procedures.

• Offer technical direction and leadership to project teams and individuals.

• Serve as a primary escalation point for networking and related technical designs.

• Address, analyze, and follow up on network issues to ensure prompt resolution.

• Enhance communication and collaboration across various organizations.

• Manage carriers, incidents, problems, capacity, service acceptance, events, performance, and compliance with standards.

• Concentrate on service restoration, sustainability, and proactive service enhancement.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Active professional-level networking certification: Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate, Fortinet NSE7 Certified: Secure Networking, or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP): Enterprise.

• Over 10 years of experience in a large multi-platform environment or equivalent technical expertise.

• Proficient in PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).

• Extensive knowledge of VNet, VPN, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, DNS, and Private Link.

• Demonstrated experience with Fortinet Secure SD-WAN and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE).

• Understanding of networking protocols, security, and infrastructure.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with extensive practical experience.

• Experience in providing situational analysis for networking and telecommunications.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent customer orientation, support, and interfacing capabilities.

• Ability to persuade and influence others to take appropriate actions.

• Capability to lead and make an impact on individuals at all levels within the organization.

• Proven ability to manage concurrent problems and issues effectively in a dynamic, high-pressure setting.

• Advanced understanding of business strategy as it pertains to network environments.

• Preferred: experience with virtualization technologies.

• Preferred: familiarity with cloud networking solutions.

• Preferred: understanding of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) concepts.

• Preferred: scripting or automation skills for network-related tasks.
