Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +20 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive support for customers, emphasizing SDWAN, Internet, and associated services.

• Diagnose and set up basic LAN configurations, routers, firewalls, and Microsoft operating systems.

• Assist in the provisioning and onboarding process for new clients utilizing managed services.

• Work closely with vendors to address support challenges and ensure seamless service delivery.

• Take ownership of support issues from initiation to resolution.

• Foster strong customer relationships through exceptional support and effective communication.

• Guide and educate fellow engineers on intricate technical challenges and solutions.

• Oversee and troubleshoot SDWAN networks, business data circuits, VoIP services, VPNs, managed routers, firewalls, and various custom-managed services.

• No travel to customer sites is required.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

• 3-5 years of pertinent experience in a dynamic technical setting.

• Proven proficiency in SDWAN, especially with Versa Networks.

• CCNA and CCNP certifications are highly sought after.

• Experience with command line networking tools (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper).

• Strong background in firewall configuration (e.g., Fortinet).

• Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, and VRRP.

• Practical understanding of basic routers, firewalls, and NAT (Network Address Translation).

• Familiarity with COS/QOS and principles of network design.

• Awareness of SOC 2 compliance and related processes.

• Candidates must reside in one of the specified eligible U.S. states.
