Network Support Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Proactively oversee the technical operations of Akamai's network within the EMEA region.

• Optimize resource allocation to fulfill customer requirements effectively.

• Ensure smooth traffic flow and provide value for network partners within the area.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, network partners, and ISPs to diagnose and resolve network and performance challenges.

• Handle escalations from Service Performance, Network Account Managers, Network Operations, and other departments.

• Collaborate with colleagues and network architects on traffic optimization, enhancements, and improvements.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of Internet infrastructure throughout the region.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

• Familiarity with application-level protocols and IP security.

• Understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, SSL, BGP, and OSPF.

• Proficient in a Linux/Unix-like environment.

• Action-oriented with the capability to pinpoint areas for innovation and enhancement.

• CCNP certification or equivalent experience.
