This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
• Oversee the operations and management of network routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and associated components.
• Implement and provide support for Cisco Phone systems.
• Assess, design, implement, upgrade, and maintain the application infrastructure for Air Methods.
• Troubleshoot enterprise routing, switching, and VoIP technologies within intricate networking environments.
• Manage firewalling, VPN technologies, IPS, ACLs, and adhere to security best practices.
• Create and sustain network administration, security controls, and disaster recovery policies along with training plans.
• Plan, schedule, test, and coordinate software upgrades for network systems.
• Enforce procedures for system security, backup, and recovery.
• Conduct feasibility studies, configuration impact assessments, and cost/benefit analyses for network hardware and software.
• Spearhead the design of innovative network solutions and infrastructure deployment or upgrade projects.
• Maintain and support systems in a 24x7 distributed, mission-critical environment catering to data centers and helicopter EMS bases across the U.S.
• Assist with enterprise disaster recovery and business continuity programs, including implementation, testing, and event response.
• Provide administration and escalated technical support while coordinating with external support services and vendors.
• Document systems and adhere to change management processes.
• Research, develop, and implement systems best practices and standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree (BS) from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science or a related field, along with five to eight years of relevant experience and/or training; or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Graduate study or a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft server technologies, including Windows, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, and OCS.
• Profound experience with VMWare in a production environment.
• Experience managing a large-scale Citrix XenApp farm.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) information security and assurance regulations.
• Advanced skills in the Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience in Windows System Administration (Windows 2008/2012).
• VMWare experience is required.
• Knowledge of Cisco UCS.
• Experience in Windows Desktop build and administration.
• Understanding of IP protocols and the protocol stack.
• Proficient in DHCP and DNS.
• Experience with Active Directory administration, including GPOs.
• Certifications such as MCSE, VCAP/VCP, CCEA/CCAA, and EMCSA are preferred.
• Must be available for after-hours calls and capable of working non-standard schedules for maintenance windows and critical systems support.
