This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
• Act as a technical leader by guiding and mentoring junior network engineers.
• Spearhead the design and implementation of tailored enterprise network solutions.
• Design, document, and implement customer pilots while supporting customer testing.
• Provide network engineering assistance to the Sales team.
• Deliver Tier IV escalation support to the Help Desk.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve network issues for customers.
• Suggest modifications to address network deficiencies and enhance performance.
• Investigate and recommend new hardware and software solutions.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
• Create and present technical presentations to both internal and external audiences.
• Develop, document, and uphold processes and procedures for complex customer networks.
• Enforce established processes and procedures to comply with regulatory requirements.
• Analyze customer bandwidth needs and system interdependencies.
• Create capacity planning models for anticipated customer requirements.
• Assist in professional services projects that include network discovery, design, wireless LAN, and security audits.
• This role will be primarily based virtually in Colorado or Illinois.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employment visa sponsorship at any point.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university is preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Over 7 years of experience in network design, implementation, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex enterprise networks.
• CCNP, JNCIP, FNCSP (NSE4), CCVP, or CCSP certification, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of vendor routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN appliances, and wireless devices.
• Experience with Cisco Firepower, Fortinet FortiGate, Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Juniper, Aerohive, Mist, and Cradlepoint.
• Strong understanding of SD-WAN, high-availability protocols, IP routing, tunneling, QoS, traffic policing and shaping, ACLs, AAA, TACACS+, RADIUS, SNMP, DHCP, switch VLANs, VTP, STP, and wireless networking.
• Familiarity with VoIP, SIP, and PRI voice technologies.
• Knowledge of network tools including WhatsUp Gold, SolarWinds Orion, Cisco CCE, Cisco Prime, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Wireshark, or Netscout.
• Understanding of compliance requirements such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC.
• Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks in both leadership and team-member capacities.
• Excellent technical documentation skills, including network diagrams, operations and maintenance procedures, and technical presentations.
• Strong verbal communication skills for delivering technical presentations to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
• Availability to work nights and weekends on a flexible schedule as required.
