Senior .NET Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Engage in the development of software strategies and plans.

• Create, implement, and sustain scalable, high-performance software applications.

• Collaborate with team members to write specific segments of programs.

• Integrate program components and conduct tests to ensure that sample datasets yield the expected results.

• Produce clean, efficient, and well-documented code in accordance with industry best practices.

• Enhance and maintain the performance of existing software solutions.

• Propose enhancements to current software programs.

• Work alongside architects, product managers, and fellow developers to establish technical requirements and system architecture.

• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and uphold coding standards.

• Develop and manage RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-based applications.

• Optimize application performance for superior availability, security, and scalability.

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments and automation.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum development teams, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and promote best practices alongside continuous improvement.

• Create and execute algorithms.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

• Must be eligible to secure and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are necessary for client interactions, documentation, and reporting tasks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of eight (8) years in software development.

• Eight years of additional relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.

• Familiarity with Step Functions.

• Experience with CloudWatch.

• Knowledge of RDS.

• Proficient with Lambda.

• Experience using S3.

• Working knowledge of SQS.

• Familiarity with SNS.

• Knowledge of Elastic Container Registry.

• Proficient in .NET.

• Skilled in Python.

• Experience with Network Load Balancer.

• Familiarity with Application Load Balancer.

• Knowledge of Web Application Firewall.

• Experience with DynamoDB.

• Knowledge of Kinesis Data Stream.

• Familiarity with Firehose.

• Strong expertise in .NET, Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, and similar programming languages.

• Experience with X.12 Medical Claims Processing (835, 837, 277, 275, etc.).

• Proficient in back-end development, including modern frameworks like .NET.

• Skilled in database management, including SQL, RBS, MongoDB, or other NoSQL databases.

• Strong understanding of AWS and/or MS Azure cloud platforms and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience in RESTful API development, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.

• Solid working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and GitLab CI/CD.

• Background in a Scaled Agile Framework environment (SAFe).

• Experience in a DevOps CI/CD environment.

• Familiarity with software configuration management tools such as Git, Subversion, and Jira.

• Proficient in MS Office Suite.

• Experience using Jira for Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).

• Ability to create logical and functional software code utilizing .NET and Python as primary languages.

• Experience in understanding and articulating the benefits and risks associated with various coding languages in different functional contexts.

• Proven ability to respond to issues and adjust the program as needed.

• Experience in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.

• Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software solutions.
