Back-end Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain Java applications and microservices utilizing Spring Boot

• Interface with legacy systems (Struts, Servlets, JSP, PrimeFaces)

• Implement Docker containers and manage orchestration with Kubernetes

• Create data-streaming solutions leveraging Kafka and Kafka Streams

• Uphold code quality by adhering to best practices and performing tests

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including QA, DevOps, and Product Owners

• Document workflows and architectural decisions

• Monitor and resolve issues in production settings

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry developments

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline

• Experience in software engineering, with a focus on Java and/or JVM-based languages

• Proficiency in developing and managing systems using Java, microservices, and APIs (Spring Boot, Node.js)

• Familiarity with service containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, including AKS, EKS, GKE, and OpenShift)

• Understanding of DevOps tools and practices (Nexus, SonarQube, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub, and StarTeam)

• Knowledge of continuous integration, automated deployment, unit testing, TDD, BDD, and Agile methodologies (Scrum)

• Awareness of private and public cloud environments: Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

• Commitment to quality and best practices, with a focus on writing clean, well-tested, and maintainable code

• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, WebSphere, JBoss, Kafka, Kafka Streams, SQL Server, and Kubernetes
