Senior MSL, Neurology – Alzheimer's Disease

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Interact with KOLs, healthcare professionals (HCPs), researchers, pharmacists, and decision-makers to share scientific, medical, and clinical insights.

• Act as the main clinical/scientific resource for HCPs within the designated area concerning disease states and Eisai products.

• Accurately convey current clinical, scientific, and medical data between KOLs/investigators and the Medical Affairs and development teams.

• Build and nurture professional relationships with KOLs in the fields of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

• Present clinical and scientific findings related to Eisai products and pertinent therapeutic areas.

• Assist in professional congresses and lead MSL activities during congress coverage.

• Identify and relay scientific, clinical, and research insights from KOLs to the Medical Affairs team.

• Stay updated on disease states, study methodologies, clinical information, and product data.

• Implement approved medical platforms, strategies, and MSL initiatives.

• Serve as a scientific subject matter expert for cross-functional collaborators.

• Educate, guide, and mentor less experienced MSLs; support supervision and performance evaluations.

• Lead or contribute to special projects, leadership initiatives, and strategic planning efforts.

• Facilitate the review and follow-up of Investigator-Initiated Studies and provide assistance with Eisai-sponsored trials.

• Suggest study site selections and offer scientific guidance to investigators.

• Share information about Eisai and its commitment to human health care.

• Deliver scientific and clinical insights regarding Eisai’s products and future pipeline.

• Aid communication between Eisai Research and the medical community about upcoming research opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced terminal degree in medical or health sciences or a related discipline (e.g., MD/DO, PhD, PharmD).

• Over 2 years of experience in industry, clinical research, or a related scientific setting.

• A minimum of 3 years is required for the Senior MSL title.

• MSL experience in neurology or complex disease states is preferred.

• Previous research experience in dementia or Alzheimer’s disease is highly preferred.

• Established relationships with KOLs in neurology are preferred.

• Strong foundational knowledge in scientific and pharmaceutical fields.

• Familiarity with treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, pharmaceutical regulations, compliant practices, and OIG guidelines is necessary.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to convey complex data sets and educate leading KOLs.

• Ability to operate independently while adhering to compliance and regulatory policies.

• Experience in a matrix environment, collaborating with cross-functional commercial partners.

• Proficient in computer and technology skills, including word processing, presentation materials, spreadsheets, and video conferencing tools.

• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.

• Willingness to engage in frequent business travel, approximately 60%, including air travel, overnight stays, and occasional weekends.

• Capability to establish a home-based office within the specified territory.

• Ability to engage in-person with HCPs and other third parties regularly.

• May need to fulfill third-party credentialing and vaccination entry requirements.

• Must fulfill employment eligibility standards in the United States.
