Senior Mortgage Systems Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop, enhance, and provide support for mortgage technology solutions, focusing primarily on ICE Encompass LOS and associated mortgage systems.

• Design, create, and maintain SQL Server/T-SQL objects, which include stored procedures, functions, views, ETL processes, and operational reporting solutions.

• Construct and support API-driven integrations and workflow automation across mortgage, document, servicing, vendor, and enterprise platforms.

• Create and sustain secure, scalable business applications through object-oriented design, REST APIs, JSON/XML, and .NET/C#.

• Diagnose complex production issues, conduct root-cause analysis, optimize system and database performance, and coordinate resolutions with internal teams and third-party providers.

• Support DevOps, source control, CI/CD, cloud services, monitoring, operational support, and infrastructure-as-code practices.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to convert requirements into technical solutions.

• Document design, testing, deployment, and support processes.

• Identify and implement automation and emerging technology opportunities, including practical applications of AI-assisted development tools.

• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited four-year institution is required.

• Certification as an Application Developer is preferred.

• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in application design and development.

• Experience with mortgage origination systems, ideally ICE Encompass LOS.

• Familiarity with Encompass APIs, Developer Connect, Data Connect, Partner Connect, and third-party mortgage technology integrations is preferred.

• Understanding of the mortgage origination, servicing, document management, and vendor ecosystems.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL development.

• Experience in developing stored procedures, functions, views, ETL processes, and enterprise reporting solutions.

• Ability to troubleshoot production issues, optimize queries, and support operational reporting.

• Knowledge of database design, data modeling, and data governance principles.

• Strong expertise in Object-Oriented Programming and contemporary software development practices.

• Practical experience with C#, .NET/.NET Core, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, REST APIs, and JSON/XML.

• Background in developing and supporting secure, maintainable business applications.

• Working knowledge of DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, CI/CD pipelines, AWS cloud services, Infrastructure as Code, containerization, monitoring, and operational support.

• Experience in designing and supporting system integrations and workflow automation solutions.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies.

• Capability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation abilities.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent attention to detail and effective time-management skills.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, HTML, PowerShell, and Java (J2EE).

• Ability to sit for extended periods and engage in sedentary activities.

• Capable of standing, stooping, and kneeling to file for extended durations.

• Able to push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs. of files, supplies, documents, or related items.
