Senior Mortgage Funding Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the closing activities of loan files by preparing and validating Closing Disclosures and closing packages.

• Address inquiries from both internal and external parties regarding loan closing and funding processes.

• Investigate and resolve complex issues related to closing and funding.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory, investor, and internal guidelines to uphold closing and funding standards.

• Maintain and verify loan data and closing documentation for accuracy.

• Manage a designated closing pipeline and coordinate timelines effectively.

• Assist in reporting and pipeline tracking by keeping accurate statuses of loans.

• Collaborate with settlement agents, borrowers, loan officers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth processes.

• Uphold audit readiness and maintain high standards of documentation quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. (Mandatory)

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in mortgage funding, loan closing processes, transaction management, and issue resolution (Mandatory)

• Familiarity with mortgage closing and funding procedures.

• Proven track record in managing intricate transactions successfully.

• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered as a substitute for a degree.

• Strong understanding of mortgage loan closing and funding practices.

• Knowledge of regulatory and investor requirements.

• Ability to identify, assess risks, and resolve complex issues.

• Proficiency in utilizing systems, reporting tools, and loan platforms.

• Excellent communication skills, both clear and professional, with borrowers, settlement agents, loan officers, and internal stakeholders.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting deadlines.
