This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Take charge of the complete production lifecycle for mobile and web games, starting from initial product exploration and concept development through to production, testing, launch, and post-launch support.
• Oversee multiple games and initiatives simultaneously, ensuring the management of priorities, schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and delivery expectations.
• Lead the process of porting games to mobile and other platforms, coordinating with external porting teams to uphold quality and platform standards.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, external developers, porting partners, and strategic partners to align projects and address any blockers.
• Identify existing titles with the potential for mobile, web, or broader platform adaptation and evaluate product, technical, production, and commercial requirements.
• Assist in the exploration and development of new Atari Mobile games.
• Convert concepts into production plans, scopes, milestones, requirements, and execution strategies.
• Collaborate with developers and designers, leveraging game design expertise to identify risks and ensure the creation of engaging and cohesive games.
• Coordinate testing, quality assurance, bug tracking, certification, and release readiness.
• Manage the submission and review processes for Apple and Google.
• Partner in product positioning and launch planning while maintaining focus on development and delivery.
• Assess and implement game engines and production technologies.
• Investigate practical applications of AI in game development and production.
• Establish repeatable production processes, documentation, reporting, and best practices.
• Own delivery outcomes and proactively drive solutions with minimal oversight.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in mobile and/or web game production, with substantial experience in developing and launching mobile games.
• Proven track record in managing mobile and/or web game development throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Significant experience collaborating with external development, co-development, and porting teams, including responsibility for schedules, milestones, scope, quality, and delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple games or projects concurrently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Extensive knowledge of mobile game development, platform requirements, testing, certification, and submission processes for Apple and Google.
• Strong understanding of game design, enabling effective collaboration with designers, developers, artists, QA teams, and external partners.
• Experience in evaluating existing game titles and recognizing opportunities for porting, adaptation, or further development, with hands-on experience using game engines such as Unity, Godot, and Defold.
• Experience in exploring new game concepts, development opportunities, and external teams for an expanding mobile portfolio.
• Familiarity with mobile game monetization models and product decisions that support engagement, retention, and commercial performance.
• Experience working across various game engines and development technologies.
• Knowledge of AI tools and practical applications of AI in game development or production.
• Exceptional project management, prioritization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong ownership mindset, capable of making informed decisions, managing ambiguity, and driving projects forward.
• Experience collaborating with strategic partners is highly advantageous.
• Willingness to work effectively within Australian, New Zealand, Southeast Asian, Japanese, or Korean time zones is required.
