This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Identify, foster, and sustain collaborative relationships with key researchers, institutions, groups, and consortia in targeted disease-state areas.
• Provide unbiased and balanced education regarding investigational products and relevant disease areas to the medical community.
• Enhance company visibility and strengthen interactions with oncology leaders.
• Engage in medical education for healthcare professionals, including formulary committees, through presentations.
• Coordinate necessary education and training with clinical-site departments and personnel.
• Discover clinical research opportunities that align with company objectives.
• Act as the primary contact for investigator-initiated research from concept submission to publication.
• Identify and relay clinical and research insights from oncology leaders to inform company research direction.
• Maintain clinical and scientific knowledge through training, conferences, workshops, and published materials.
• Collect and share compliant competitive intelligence.
• Mentor MSL team members and contribute to the broader Medical Affairs team.
• Manage administrative components of regional field activities.
• Provide medical leadership for internal cross-functional programs and projects.
• Address unsolicited medical-information inquiries in collaboration with Medical Information Services.
• Complete accurate and timely reports, project plans, and necessary documentation.
• Contribute to publication strategy, slide-deck development, training programs, and the Medical Strategy Plan.
• Lead national priority projects and cross-functional Medical Affairs initiatives.
• Oversee interactions for select priority projects with external collaborators or groups.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs Training on advanced training initiatives.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Pharmaceutical Industry Medical Affairs as an MSL or Senior MSL.
• Experience with solid tumors is preferred.
• An advanced degree (M.D., Ph.D., or Pharm.D.) is preferred.
• Prior experience in a biotech/pharmaceutical or healthcare education environment is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 65% of the time.
• Approximately 60–70% of travel will be domestic.
• Familiarity with treatment guidelines, including NCCN, ASCO, and ESMO.
• Understanding of clinical research processes, FDA regulations, CMS reimbursement coverage processes, and OIG guidelines.
• Knowledge or experience with head and neck tumors/solid tumors is advantageous.
• Ability to connect and collaborate with medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, NCI Cooperative Group leadership and members, medical directors, insurance carriers, and pharmacy directors.
• Highly articulate and self-assured in both formal and informal presentations.
• Capacity to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly to any audience.
