Senior Medical Science Liaison

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Lead country medical initiatives in accordance with regional objectives and the Global Medical Plan.

• Actively engage with medical scientific stakeholders to create value for patients through stakeholder involvement, medical scientific projects, and scientific communication.

• Identify, cultivate, and sustain collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), scientific experts, and other medical scientific stakeholders.

• Gather, analyze, prepare, and deliver high-quality medical, pharmaceutical, and scientific communications.

• Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies.

• Assist the country Global Brand team in formulating local medical tactics and provide insights for HQ/regional strategies.

• Organize and establish scientific advisory boards with relevant key stakeholders.

• Contribute to the medical scientific components of local and regional initiatives.

• Provide local and regional insights to HQ during Business Development Due Diligence processes.

• Offer input for head office-led medical programs prior to their launch.

• Coordinate Investigator Sponsored Studies and support local research initiatives.

• Manage medical information inquiries alongside the Medical Advisor/Senior Medical Advisor and HQ in Stockholm.

• Participate in relevant local, regional, and global congresses and symposia to represent Sobi.

• Advocate for scientific interests in both internal and external forums and engage with KOLs at hospitals and NGOs.

• Sustain and develop relationships with scientific societies and key decision-makers.

• Provide guidance to the organization and management on medical issues and legal considerations.

• Stay current on medical and scientific knowledge pertinent to the therapeutic area and monitor therapeutic trends for both new and existing products.


⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in medicine, science, or a related field.

• Over 3 years of direct experience in the pharmaceutical sector.

• Background in medical affairs, medical/clinical science, clinical development, access, and health economics.

• Comprehensive understanding of national healthcare systems and practices.

• Experience in KOL Management and Account Planning.

• Ability to establish and network with KOLs at a national level.

• Proficient in communicating and fostering relationships with authorities.

• Residing within the territory of Rostock, Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig, Kulmbach, Nordhausen, and surrounding areas.

• A valid driver’s license.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in English as well as the local language.

• Competent in using modern IT and office software.
