Senior Medical Science Liaison

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish and nurture relationships with KOLs, clinical researchers, healthcare professionals, policy makers, and other key stakeholders.

• Act as the primary medical resource in the field, delivering precise and balanced scientific information regarding company initiatives.

• Facilitate scientific education at psychiatry conferences, advisory boards, and various educational events.

• Collect and relay field insights to guide strategy and decision-making processes.

• Offer clinical and scientific insights to R&D, Clinical Development, and Commercial teams.

• Address unsolicited medical information inquiries from healthcare professionals.

• Keep track of and report on the competitive landscape.

• Assist with clinical trial site identification and recruitment efforts.

• Support investigator-initiated and Phase IV trial activities.

• Ensure all interactions adhere to company policies, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.

• Provide scientific and clinical knowledge for government affairs, policy discussions, public commentary, and stakeholder briefings.

• Foster relationships with government bodies, policymakers, and mental health advocacy organizations.

• Manage slide decks and training resources for state and federal policymakers.

• Create educational content for HEOR and advocacy groups.

• Represent the company at government affairs forums, advocacy events, and policy conferences as needed.

• Develop onboarding programs for MSLs, disease-state training, and scientific-platform training initiatives.

• Contribute to the creation of field materials, medical presentations, engagement resources, CRM design, and best practices for field insights.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.

• A minimum of 4+ years of experience in MSL or a related medical affairs role.

• Experience in the Psychiatry/CNS field is required.

• Proven track record of successfully supporting companies from pre-launch to launch stages with an entrepreneurial mindset.

• Strong preference for experience engaging with policy, government affairs, or advocacy stakeholders within the healthcare sector.

• Profound understanding of psychiatric diseases, treatment paradigms, and the U.S. healthcare landscape.

• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to interpret and convey complex scientific data in a clear and concise manner.

• Familiarity with CRM systems, insight tools, and compliant field operations.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth biotech environment with cross-functional collaboration.

• Willingness to travel up to 60% as required.
