This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• You will lead initiatives focused on value, evidence, and outcomes that bolster Dexcom’s evidence-based strategy across various products, populations, care settings, and healthcare decision-making environments.
• Your role involves developing scientifically robust medical resources that effectively translate clinical, real-world, health economic, quality, and outcomes evidence into clear and balanced communications for both internal and external stakeholders.
• You will act as a trusted scientific advisor within Medical Affairs, HEOR, Clinical Affairs, External Studies, Data Science, Market Access, Government Affairs, Commercial, Marketing, Clinical Education, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of evidence strategies with enterprise priorities.
• Identifying strategic evidence gaps and recommending evidence-generation priorities that cater to evolving stakeholder needs, healthcare quality initiatives, business objectives, and emerging evidence requirements will be part of your responsibilities.
• You will establish and maintain scientific relationships with healthcare organizations, health plans, health systems, professional societies, advocacy organizations, quality leaders, and other external stakeholders to promote scientific exchange and evidence-based collaboration.
• Providing expert scientific guidance on evidence assessments, healthcare quality initiatives, value-based care strategies, policy discussions, access-related priorities, and scientific engagement will be essential to your role.
• You will develop innovative approaches to scientific communication, stakeholder engagement, and evidence translation that enhance the Medical Affairs strategy and support enterprise decision-making.
• Your contributions will include scientific publications, congress activities, medical education resources, evidence summaries, advisory boards, research collaborations, and scientific exchange initiatives, all while ensuring compliance with the highest standards of scientific integrity and quality.
• A relevant clinical or scientific degree is required, such as MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, PA, NP, MSN, MPH, MS, or similar.
• You should be acknowledged for your scientific expertise and have considerable experience in Medical Affairs, HEOR, healthcare quality, population health, evidence strategy, market access, medical communications, or a related healthcare field.
• Expert knowledge of clinical research methodologies, study design, real-world evidence, health economics, outcomes research, and healthcare quality is necessary, along with the ability to translate complex evidence into clear and balanced scientific communications.
• You must exercise sound scientific judgment and work autonomously to address complex, ambiguous challenges where strategic thinking, evaluation of multiple factors, and evidence-based decision-making are crucial.
• Your ability to influence cross-functional teams and external stakeholders without formal authority, while fostering trusted partnerships and providing scientific leadership across a complex matrix organization, will be important.
• Proactively identifying emerging healthcare trends, anticipating evolving evidence needs, and recommending innovative approaches that enhance Medical Affairs strategy and enterprise decision-making will be expected.
• A proven track record in developing scientific publications, congress presentations, evidence summaries, medical education resources, or other evidence-based scientific communications is essential.
• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics, digital health, healthcare technology, or a related industry is required.
• Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in diabetes, cardiometabolic health, continuous glucose monitoring, healthcare quality, population health, value-based care, evidence assessment, payer decision-making, health policy, or external research collaborations.
• You must demonstrate exceptional execution discipline, accountability, adaptability, and attention to quality while managing multiple strategic priorities in a fast-paced environment.
