Senior Mechanical Estimator – Data Center Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create precise and detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems within construction projects.

• Examine project plans and specifications to ascertain the scope of work and necessary materials.

• Collaborate with project teams to formulate comprehensive cost management strategies.

• Evaluate project requirements and suggest value engineering alternatives.

• Conduct cost risk assessments and contribute to value engineering efforts.

• Communicate and work together with clients, contractors, and other key stakeholders.

• Utilize industry-specific estimating software and tools to generate cost estimates.

• Offer estimating advice, guidance, and analysis to project stakeholders.

• Keep abreast of industry-specific estimating processes and methodologies.

• Prepare formal estimating reports that detail quantities, costs, escalation, assumptions, and clarifications.

• Assist in the development of estimating standards and best practices.

• Comply with relevant SOX control responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related construction field.

• A minimum of 5–7 years of pertinent experience.

• Experience in supporting program-level cost management for medium to large-scale construction projects.

• Proven experience estimating mechanical scopes in large commercial, industrial, or mission-critical settings.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, piping, plumbing, fire protection, and related infrastructure.

• Familiarity with technical aspects of the construction industry, including value management and value engineering.

• Prior experience in client-facing roles.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Proficiency in using industry-specific estimating software and tools.

• Understanding of estimating processes and methodologies.
