Senior MDR Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the entire investigation and response lifecycle for security alerts in customer environments.

• Evaluate endpoint, network, identity, and cloud telemetry to detect and address malicious activities.

• Record and convey key findings and remediation steps to both customers and internal teams.

• Work alongside MDR management to execute operational shifts, enhance technical aspects, and improve workflows.

• Collaborate with Threat Intelligence and Security Research teams to strengthen detection and response capabilities.

• Identify and manage complex cyber incidents.

• Handle escalations and lead tactical operations during shifts.

• Operate in a remote, shift-based role that covers global time zones, including weekends.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in SOC, Incident Response, MDR, or Managed Security Services.

• Practical experience with EDR, SIEM, SOAR, and firewall technologies.

• In-depth understanding of cyber threats, attack techniques, and incident response processes.

• Familiarity with APT operations and the attack lifecycle, including propagation and lateral movement.

• Knowledge of organizational cyber defense, security tools, and effective remediation techniques.

• Experience with SIEM, packet capture analysis, host forensics, and EDR tools.

• Strong interpersonal abilities with a proven track record of effective collaboration with customers.

• Willingness to work overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts within a 24x7 MDR operation.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Preferred hands-on experience with Cortex XDR and/or Cortex XSOAR platforms.

• Previous experience in shift-based or overnight security operations is preferred.

• Active security certifications such as CySA+, CEH, or similar credentials are preferred.

• Prior experience in a dedicated SOC or Incident Response environment is preferred.
