Cloud FinOps Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and organize Cloudability assets, which include dashboards, views, and reports.

• Create and maintain an up-to-date catalog of dashboards developed by the team.

• Design, evaluate, and establish information hierarchies and organizational frameworks for Cloudability and proprietary client dashboards.

• Develop and execute validation strategies to ensure dashboard accuracy, ownership, and adherence to naming conventions.

• Validate Cloudability metrics and dimensions against original billing and cluster data, documenting data lineage.

• Test new features and releases of Cloudability, including visualizations, metrics, and dimensions.

• Create test cases and document regressions with clear evidence.

• Drive enhancements, fixes, and remediation for supported and cataloged dashboards.

• Monitor issues until they are resolved.

• Implement and promote the adoption of UI changes that support new metrics, dimensions, features, and changing business requirements.

• Collaborate with FinOps, engineering, and business teams to disseminate and manage cloud cost information.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with Cloudability.

• Familiarity with AWS or GCP billing data and Kubernetes cost allocation.

• Strong grasp of FinOps principles such as allocation, efficiency, and tagging.

• Experience in creating and managing BI dashboards, including naming conventions and information architecture.

• Experience in automating governance checks using code, the Cloudability API, Python, scheduled validation jobs, or no-code/low-code platforms like Power Automate, Workato, Make, or n8n.

• Demonstrated capability to manage testing and implementation processes from start to finish.

• Analytical testing approach with experience in UAT or QA of SaaS tools.

• FinOps Certified Practitioner certification is a preferred qualification.

• SQL proficiency for verifying platform data against raw data is a plus.

• Experience in supporting a large enterprise with multiple stakeholders is an advantage.
