This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop strategy and oversee architectural choices for the MarTech stack, including decisions on build vs. buy and managing vendor relationships.
• Create and implement a long-term roadmap for marketing technology, automation, analytics, and personalization initiatives.
• Guide platform strategy for CRM, marketing automation, customer data platforms, analytics, attribution, experimentation, and customer engagement tools.
• Design data flows between marketing systems, product systems, CRM, and the data warehouse.
• Set and uphold governance standards for tracking, campaign setup, lifecycle management, and data quality.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Growth, Data, Product, and Engineering leadership to convert business strategy into scalable technical solutions.
• Identify and spearhead automation projects aimed at minimizing manual campaign operations.
• Manage the technical foundation for segmentation, lifecycle marketing, personalization, and reporting.
• Lead the evaluation, selection, contract negotiations, implementation, and successful adoption of vendors.
• Develop documentation, governance frameworks, and scalable, auditable processes.
• Oversee system performance, data quality, and operational risk; escalate and resolve complex issues as they arise.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to marketing operations or MarTech teams.
• 8–12 years of experience in marketing technology, marketing operations, growth operations, or a similar field.
• Proven record of owning marketing technology strategy, beyond mere execution.
• Experience in establishing technical direction and influencing decisions at the Director/VP level.
• Extensive expertise in CRM, marketing automation, customer data platforms, analytics, and integrations.
• Practical experience with Salesforce/HubSpot, Braze/Iterable, Segment, GA4, GTM, Snowflake/BigQuery, Zapier, Workato, OneTrust, and related platforms.
• Proficient in SQL, APIs, and data integration.
• Experience in managing cross-functional projects, external vendors, and budget/spending decisions.
• Exceptional communication skills for conveying technical trade-offs to non-technical leadership.
• Ability to set direction in situations of uncertainty.
