This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Develop and oversee the strategic architecture of the MarTech stack, encompassing decisions on building versus buying solutions and managing vendor relationships.
β’ Create and implement a long-term roadmap for marketing technology, automation, analytics, and personalization efforts.
β’ Lead the strategic direction for CRM, marketing automation, customer data platforms (CDP), analytics, attribution, experimentation, and customer engagement tools.
β’ Design and manage data flows among marketing systems, product systems, CRM, and the data warehouse.
β’ Set and uphold governance standards for tracking, campaign setup, lifecycle management, and ensuring data quality.
β’ Collaborate with Marketing, Growth, Data, Product, and Engineering leadership to align business strategy with scalable technical solutions.
β’ Identify and spearhead automation initiatives aimed at minimizing manual campaign operations.
β’ Maintain ownership of the technical infrastructure for segmentation, lifecycle marketing, personalization, and reporting.
β’ Oversee vendor assessment, selection, and contract negotiations; ensure successful implementation and adoption outcomes.
β’ Develop documentation, governance frameworks, and scalable, auditable processes.
β’ Track system performance, data integrity, and operational risks; escalate and resolve complex issues as needed.
β’ Offer technical guidance and mentorship to marketing operations or MarTech personnel.
β’ 8β12 years of experience in marketing technology, marketing operations, growth operations, or a comparable field.
β’ Proven experience in owning strategy beyond just execution.
β’ Background in setting technical direction and influencing decisions at the Director/VP level.
β’ Extensive knowledge in CRM, marketing automation, customer data platforms, analytics, and integrations.
β’ Practical experience with Salesforce/HubSpot, Braze/Iterable, Segment, GA4, GTM, Snowflake/BigQuery, Zapier, Workato, OneTrust, and similar platforms.
β’ Strong proficiency in SQL, API, and data integration.
β’ Proven track record of managing cross-functional projects, external vendors, and budget/spending decisions.
β’ Excellent executive-level communication skills with the ability to convey technical trade-offs to non-technical leadership.
β’ Ability to set direction amid uncertainty.
