This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Implement Market Development strategies in line with the vision set forth by the Market Development Manager.
• Convert strategic initiatives into practical commercial programs that enhance market penetration and customer adoption.
• Assist in market segmentation, competitive intelligence, opportunity assessments, and conducting market research.
• Track market trends, commercial performance, and customer adoption metrics while offering actionable recommendations.
• Spearhead the creation, execution, and enhancement of Sales enablement programs.
• Generate and update sales playbooks, value propositions, competitive positioning, application guides, objection-handling tools, customer presentations, and other commercial resources.
• Develop and facilitate cross-selling application and market training sessions for Sales, distributors, channel partners, Technical Sales Specialists, and Regional Marketing teams.
• Assess the effectiveness of Sales enablement efforts and refine commercial assets based on customer insights and performance data.
• Oversee segment-specific marketing content that aligns with the global Market Development strategy.
• Create value propositions, messaging frameworks, and go-to-market materials specifically designed for various customer segments.
• Partner with General Marketing to execute integrated marketing campaigns.
• Assist in cross-selling initiatives during product launches by providing customer-facing content and sales enablement tools.
• Design and collaborate on Voice of Customer initiatives, synthesizing results into segment insight briefs.
• Organize and deliver partner-focused customer education events and regional conferences.
• Develop and implement customer education programs.
• Produce and present webinars, workshops, training sessions, technical guides, application notes, videos, customer success stories, and commercial presentations.
• Support strategic customer interactions alongside Regional Marketing & Sales, Scientific Affairs, and the Market Development Manager.
• Aid Sales teams in addressing customer challenges through education, commercial support, and customized value propositions.
• Gather Voice of Customer insights and market feedback.
• Promote customer adoption initiatives across key market segments and strategic accounts.
• Customize global commercial materials to meet local market requirements in collaboration with Regional Marketing.
• Collaborate with Market & Business Intelligence, Product Management, Scientific Affairs, General Marketing, and Regional Marketing & Sales.
• Interpret scientific, technical, and regulatory information into customer-centric messaging and commercial value propositions.
• Assist in portfolio positioning for cross-selling and commercial campaigns across global markets.
• Oversee cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing customer adoption and commercial effectiveness.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, or a related scientific discipline, combined with robust marketing/business acumen; or a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, with substantial knowledge of the food science/food safety market/segments.
• At least 5 years of experience in Market Development, Product Marketing, Marketing Communications, Commercial Excellence, Sales Enablement, Product Management, Technical Sales, or a similar commercial position.
• Proven track record in developing marketing campaigns, commercial content, sales enablement initiatives, customer education, and go-to-market strategies.
• Established ability to translate customer needs into persuasive value propositions and commercial messaging.
• Experience in supporting product launches, commercialization, and customer adoption efforts.
• Familiarity with B2B markets.
• Background in food safety, diagnostics, life sciences, healthcare, or other regulated industries is preferred but not mandatory.
• Exceptional skills in written, verbal, presentation, and storytelling.
• Excellent abilities in content development and communication.
• Strong commercial perspective focused on customer adoption and business growth.
• Outstanding training and facilitation capabilities.
• Capacity to quickly grasp technical concepts and convert them into compelling customer value propositions.
• Proficient project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Experience collaborating with international, cross-functional teams.
• Self-driven, collaborative, and results-oriented.
• Proficient with digital marketing platforms and content management systems.
• Willingness to occasionally work early mornings, evenings, or weekends to accommodate meetings and travel.
• Ability to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
