This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct the clinical UX strategy encompassing clinical decision support, treatment planning, intervention selection, execution, coordination, and ongoing follow-through.
• Mentor seasoned designers to navigate ambiguity, establish strategy, make informed trade-offs, influence senior stakeholders, and enhance overall impact.
• Oversee AI-enhanced clinical workflows, which include information synthesis, option generation, recommendations, automation, evidence management, uncertainty handling, human oversight, review, and correction processes.
• Collaborate with leaders in Clinical, Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Research.
• Align clinical requirements, model capabilities, user evidence, technical limitations, and business priorities.
• Enhance practices in critique, research synthesis, clinical review, prototyping, evaluation, and learning.
• Establish leadership and strategic alignment with product directors, embedding design within the overall business strategy.
• Deepen understanding of users and incorporate research insights into design choices.
• Accelerate iteration cycles, reducing time-to-insight by 30%.
• Position design as a key business driver that contributes to engagement, provider adoption, user experience, and product direction.
• Cultivate team expertise, strategic thinking, and organizational leadership.
• A minimum of 7 years of design experience in a design-focused environment (in-house, agency, or relevant industry).
• At least 5 years of experience managing personnel.
• Proven experience in leading intricate, high-stakes workflows in healthcare or another professional domain.
• Strong judgment in interaction design, information design, research, and product strategy.
• Demonstrated capability to guide experienced designers to evolve into strategic decision-makers and organizational leaders.
• Familiarity with AI-driven products or sound judgment regarding recommendations, automation, evidence, uncertainty, and human oversight.
• Experience working with complex systems and applications.
• Ability to simplify intricate problems and design intuitive experiences.
• Capacity to collaborate closely with product and engineering teams.
