Senior Manager, US Government Programs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and lead the complete lifecycle of U.S. government programs, which includes contract initiation, solution delivery, POC execution, operational rollout, and ongoing support.

• Convert signed contracts and statements of work into actionable program plans with defined milestones, deliverables, acceptance criteria, ownership, and accountability.

• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, contractual obligations, and technical risks across multiple simultaneous programs and agency environments.

• Ensure all contract deliverables, documentation, reporting, invoicing, and compliance artifacts are completed accurately and punctually.

• Act as the main point of contact for U.S. government clients regarding active programs.

• Foster relationships with program leaders, contracting stakeholders, technical counterparts, prime contractors, subcontractors, integrators, and external partners.

• Drive collaboration across Legal, Finance, Product, Science, Engineering, Customer Success, and Business Development teams.

• Assist in pre-sale deal evaluations, confirm POC scope, and assess technical, financial, and delivery preparedness.

• Contribute to proposal submissions, RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.

• Report on program health, risks, decisions, and progress to senior management.

• Develop and maintain program tracking, governance frameworks, and reporting standards.

• Identify potential blockers and risks early, suggest mitigations, and sustain momentum across multiple engagements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of direct program or project management experience delivering complex technical initiatives for or with U.S. government clients.

• Proven experience working with U.S. government agencies, preferably at the federal level.

• Direct responsibility for delivery rather than advisory or consulting roles where execution was handled by another team.

• A history of personally managing and delivering programs from start to finish in environments lacking extensive institutional support.

• Capability to manage multiple concurrent programs across various agencies, contracts, and compliance frameworks.

• Strong cross-functional influencing skills across Engineering, Science, Legal, Product, and Finance departments.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Willingness to travel domestically within the United States, with occasional international travel as required.

• Eligibility for obtaining a security clearance.
