Senior Manager, Software Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee engineering efforts for the Entri “schedule maximizer” and “order facilitator” systems.

• Guide a high-impact team in developing R1’s Entri platform for patient scheduling and order management workflows.

• Drive the architectural framework and engage in design decision-making.

• Address complex production challenges as they arise.

• Spearhead the modernization of legacy desktop applications into scalable SaaS solutions.

• Promote the adoption of the enterprise data platform to enhance performance and system efficiency.

• Mentor, coach, and nurture engineers through structured knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Collaborate with product teams in a pod-based approach to influence roadmap strategies.

• Take ownership of outcomes and deliver capabilities that impact customers positively.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in leading and mentoring software engineering teams.

• At least 5 years of experience in designing and building scalable, distributed systems, including microservices architecture.

• Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies.

• Strong backend proficiency in C#/.NET or Java.

• Experience with modern web applications and SaaS platforms.

• Demonstrated ability to function as a hands-on technical leader in architecture, design, and problem resolution.

• Experience in developing engineering professionals with high expectations, a collaborative approach, and a focus on continuous improvement, quality, and planning.

• Proven experience collaborating with product managers and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions for customers.
