Senior Manager, Software Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, and advancement of the OneStream Platform and browser engineering teams.

• Take ownership of the complete delivery of platform components, from architecture and development to release and optimization.

• Direct technical design and architecture for distributed, multi-threaded, and web-based systems.

• Engage hands-on in design reviews, debugging, and solving complex technical challenges.

• Maintain standards for code quality, testing, performance, and maintainability.

• Identify and remove technical and organizational obstacles.

• Promote AI enablement, including AI-supported development tools and AI-enhanced platform capabilities.

• Collaborate with data and AI teams to integrate models, APIs, and intelligent workflows.

• Set up responsible AI practices that address security, governance, and data privacy.

• Enhance team skills in modern development practices, AI tools, and frameworks.

• Manage roadmap execution, timelines, quality, and overall outcomes.

• Ensure observability, monitoring, performance optimization, and operational excellence.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives through metrics, retrospectives, and postmortems.

• Work in partnership with Product Management, Architecture, and cross-functional engineering teams.

• Convey technical direction, risks, and progress to stakeholders and executive leadership.

• Influence platform strategy and technology investment decisions.

• Build, lead, and expand high-performing engineering teams.

• Coach and mentor engineers as well as aspiring leaders.

• Oversee hiring, onboarding, and career development processes.

• Encourage ownership, innovation, and ongoing learning.

• Manage teams of Software Engineers.

• Travel approximately 20%.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 10+ years of software engineering experience in complex, distributed systems.

• 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams.

• Strong knowledge of web technologies, backend systems, and scalable architectures.

• Experience in delivering enterprise-grade platforms or SaaS products.

• Proven track record in driving technical and organizational transformation.

• Experience in implementing AI enablement within engineering teams or products.

• Familiarity with financial platforms, CPM/EPM, or enterprise analytics systems is preferred.

• Preferred experience with AI/ML integration, modern developer tooling, and automation frameworks.

• Previous experience with high-performance, data-intensive applications is advantageous.

• Prior experience with OneStream is preferred.

• Strong technical judgment and systems-thinking skills.

• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and executive audiences.

• Capability to analyze technical issues, facilitate discussions, and influence outcomes.
