Senior Manager, Service Delivery – Medical Imaging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete delivery of implementations within a designated portfolio that encompasses cloud, on-premises, and hybrid deployments.

• Define the delivery strategy for the portfolio, including engagement sequencing, resource allocation, and readiness checkpoints.

• Collaborate with Sales, Support, Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment on scope, handoff processes, and escalation routes.

• Assess effort estimates and staffing viability during pre-sales planning.

• Develop implementation methodologies, project templates, and readiness standards.

• Ensure delivery of committed scope according to plan across the portfolio, achieving target billable utilization and timely revenue recognition.

• Uphold delivery standards, ensuring compliance with approved plans, documented scope, tracked risks, current status, and transitions to Support.

• Provide updates on portfolio health, adherence to schedules, and accuracy of forecasts.

• Manage out-of-scope requests by converting them into change orders or formal declines.

• Offer data-driven insights regarding rate, margin, and staffing mix decisions.

• Manage project-sponsor-level relationships with customers and lead executive communication on engagements at risk and escalated issues.

• Facilitate high-visibility go-lives, ensuring that readiness criteria, command-center coverage, and rollback procedures are established prior to cutover.

• Counsel customer leadership on best practices for implementation and operational readiness.

• Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of Implementation Project Managers.

• Allocate project managers and additional resources to engagements as needed.

• Promote team and individual development and performance improvement practices.

• Maintain precise delivery data in PSA and CRM systems.

• Assist in enhancing Professional Services processes, tools, and methodologies.

• Perform other assigned tasks as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Minimum of 7 years' experience in delivering enterprise software or healthcare IT implementation projects in a client-facing role.

• At least 3 years of experience in a leadership position, managing project managers, or serving as a formal delivery lead over a team.

• Proven track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder implementations within hospitals, health systems, or similar enterprise environments.

• Familiarity with healthcare IT integration concepts, including HL7, interfaces, EHR touch points, and data migration.

• Experience in managing project scope, change orders, and financial delivery in relation to statements of work.

• Proficient in project management and PSA tools, including planning, forecasting, resource management, and time tracking.

• Willingness to travel to customer locations, estimated at 50%.

• Direct experience with medical imaging systems, particularly PACS, VNA, RIS, enterprise viewers, or modality work list solutions.

• Experience in delivering cloud or SaaS migrations for healthcare clients, including environment setup, cutover planning, and validation.

• Knowledge of DICOM, DICOMweb, and FHIR-based integration patterns.

• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification.

• Experience in developing or scaling a delivery methodology within a growing professional services organization.

• Previous experience in a regulated environment with obligations related to quality systems or complaint handling.
