This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Act as the main administrator and technical lead for Salesforce CRM.
• Manage user access, permissions, security settings, configurations, architecture, documentation, and change management.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, flows, automations, validation rules, integrations, and configurations.
• Convert business and programmatic requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.
• Enhance Salesforce adoption through training, guidance, and user documentation.
• Oversee the technical development of Salesforce reports, dashboards, Tableau solutions, and other data visualizations.
• Assist with the integration of Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud, including data architecture, synchronization, troubleshooting, and CRM enhancements.
• Contribute to shaping the Foundation’s wider technology ecosystem and scalable infrastructure.
• Maintain and prioritize a roadmap for Salesforce enhancements and strategic technology initiatives.
• Coordinate with external consultants and communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations.
• Address organizational technology, AI, IT, cybersecurity, access management, vendor management, and technology governance requirements.
• Keep an eye on emerging technology needs and propose improvements.
• Create technical documentation covering architecture, configurations, data definitions, integrations, procedures, and end-user guidance.
• Help establish data governance standards, data quality practices, ownership expectations, retention considerations, and access controls.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Foundation’s mission and operational needs.
• A minimum of four years of hands-on experience in administering, configuring, and enhancing Salesforce environments.
• Strong preference for experience supporting complex, multi-department Salesforce environments.
• Proficiency with Salesforce Flow, automation, permissions and security, data architecture, reporting, integrations, and platform governance.
• Preferred experience with sandbox environments, deployment or release processes, and change management practices.
• Familiarity with Tableau or similar data visualization and business intelligence tools.
• Capability to translate reporting requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Experience in supporting Salesforce integrations with marketing technology; familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is highly preferred.
• Consideration may also be given to experience with Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, previously known as Pardot, or similar marketing automation platforms.
• Ability to convert business and programmatic needs into scalable technical solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Strong project management, prioritization, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities in a mission-driven, collaborative environment.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI, along with the ability to assess practical applications with security and governance in mind.
• Salesforce Administrator certification is required.
