This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of forecasting, tracking, and reporting the variable compensation budget to the CFO and CHRO.
• Propose changes to the compensation plan to the Commissions Committee, CFO, and CHRO based on attainment, costs, and seller behavior data.
• Analyze the costs and implications of proposed plan modifications, including accelerators, caps, SPIFFs, quota adjustments, and crediting changes.
• Manage the monthly commissions cycle in Everstage, which includes crediting, calculations, approvals, payroll files, and finance accruals.
• Ensure reconciliation of payouts to plans, payroll, and the ledger prior to release.
• Set up and maintain compensation plans in Everstage for new hires, proration, mid-year modifications, SPIFFs, accelerators, kickers, win-backs, and renewal baselines.
• Execute decisions made by the Commissions Committee and document the outcomes.
• Address compensation-related inquiries from sellers and managers, resolving any disputes that arise.
• Initiate annual plans, prepare plan documents, issue quota letters, and configure Everstage for January 1.
• Keep compensation documentation, policies, decisions, and version histories organized for audits, board, and investor reviews.
• Maintain accurate attainment and earnings dashboards across Salesforce, the HR system, and Everstage.
• Automate repetitive processes and leverage AI tools to verify calculations and address routine queries.
• Conduct the first-month close, publish closing calendars, reconcile year-to-date payouts, resolve disputes, report year-to-date compensation costs, and identify changes effective January 1.
• At least 6 years of experience in sales compensation, FP&A, or commercial finance within a technology company.
• Proficient in administering an incentive compensation system such as Everstage, Spiff, Xactly, CaptivateIQ, or a comparable platform.
• Proven experience in independently managing the sales compensation function.
• Background in overseeing a variable compensation budget and reporting to a CFO or executive team.
• Experience making data-driven recommendations for plan design that have been accepted by leadership.
• Skilled in managing monthly payout cycles and reconciling them with plans, payroll, and ledgers.
• Capable of managing fixed close dates, approval timelines, and payroll schedules using a personal checklist.
• Strong modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Ability to present information succinctly to executives in a few slides or a one-page memo.
• Proficient in communicating directly with sellers regarding compensation matters.
• High level of discretion with sensitive pay data.
