Senior Manager, Quality Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead a team focused on maintaining quality standards, shared frameworks, and adoption guidelines.

• Oversee the design and execution of testing procedures for APIs, abstractions, and integration patterns.

• Tackle distributed computing challenges through comprehensive end-to-end and integration testing.

• Engage in design reviews and contribute insights on requirements, product designs, timelines, and potential challenges.

• Ensure the team's productivity, reliability, and delivery of exceptional results.

• Review code and uphold accountability for the team’s development and testing efforts.

• Participate in proof of concepts and technical assessments of new technologies.

• Cultivate a collaborative atmosphere to ensure the team meets business requirements and delivers robust solutions.

• Analyze business requirements and create functional and technical design documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience and a Bachelor's degree, OR 11+ years of relevant professional experience.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing testing procedures for APIs and integration patterns.

• Demonstrated experience in leading teams to ensure productivity and the delivery of high-quality outcomes.

• Strong background in code review and accountability for development/testing activities.

• Familiarity with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to enhance daily operations.

• Expertise in designing and implementing API, contract, integration, and service testing for distributed microservices, including service virtualization, mocking, test data management, and validation across multiple environments.

• Experience in conducting performance, load, chaos, and resilience testing.

• Ability to utilize production signals, including incidents, logs, alerts, defects, and customer-impact patterns, to identify systemic quality gaps and enhance test coverage.

• Experience in validating failure modes and correctness within event-driven and asynchronous architectures.

• Skilled in fostering team collaboration and addressing business needs.

• Proven track record in delivering robust solutions within a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in integrating emerging technologies into software quality engineering practices.
