This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Oversee the bids and pursuits function for the business units within the West Region.
• Supervise the bids and pursuits team in the West Region, establishing priorities, managing workload, and ensuring quality standards.
• Build and enhance the regional pursuit team through recruitment, coaching, and career development.
• Collaborate with regional, business unit, and end market leaders on pursuit strategies, competitive positioning, and prioritization efforts.
• Take ownership of submission quality and standards for the West Region's pursuits.
• Lead the capture and execution process for strategic pursuits, which includes sole-source and limited-competition opportunities.
• Facilitate go/no-go decision-making alongside regional and business unit leadership.
• Oversee and craft proposal content by engaging with practice leaders and subject matter experts.
• Manage the complete solicitation process from initiation to submission, including preparation for shortlist and interviews.
• Ensure the integrity of the Salesforce pipeline, along with revenue forecasts, probability adjustments, and progression through stages.
• Identify and coordinate pull-through opportunities among business units and end markets.
• Conduct client debriefs and provide insights to enhance regional positioning.
• Scale the pursuit function through strategic staffing plans and resource allocation decisions.
• Represent the West Region in discussions regarding enterprise growth and strategy meetings.
• Establish and uphold proposal management standards, including pursuit planning, compliance reviews, content development, win theme articulation, production quality, and cross-functional collaboration.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 12 to 15 years of experience in proposal writing and management within capital program services or professional services settings.
• Proven experience in managing and developing a team, including direct reports at the manager level.
• A history of partnering with senior business unit or regional leadership to define pursuit strategies and priorities.
• Familiarity with the scoping, pricing, and evaluation of professional services and advisory engagements by buyers.
• Experience in managing pipeline strategy and forecasting using Salesforce or a similar CRM system.
• Strong skills in executive communication and client engagement.
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, particularly in the use of styles and templates.
• Experience across various end markets within the AEC industry is preferred.
• Background in developing proposals for infrastructure markets, such as aviation, transit, water, and roads and highways, is preferred.
• APMP or Shipley certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign and Illustrator, is preferred.
• Candidates located in the West Region and near a Consertus office are preferred.
