Senior Manager, Psychiatric Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee a team that conducts audits and evaluations of provider activities and clinical records.

• Spearhead psychiatric quality assurance efforts and assist in investigations related to provider performance, prescribing issues, documentation quality, and regulatory adherence.

• Deliver actionable, constructive feedback that is clinically informed to psychiatric providers.

• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Credentialing, and Patient Safety teams regarding regulations and professional standards.

• Stay updated on changes to telehealth, prescribing, and psychiatric practice regulations and communicate these updates.

• Cultivate relationships with providers to enhance engagement, satisfaction, retention, and overall platform success.

• Identify trends among providers and suggest operational enhancements.

• Directly oversee and foster the development of Psychiatry Operations team members.

• Set priorities, workflows, performance expectations, and operational objectives.

• Coach and mentor team members through intricate clinical and operational situations.

• Assist in workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, and professional development.

• Track KPIs, quality metrics, provider engagement statistics, and operational trends.

• Leverage data-driven insights to enhance provider experience, member outcomes, and operational efficiency.

• Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives related to psychiatric care, provider support, quality assurance, and risk management.

• Create scalable operational processes for psychiatric services.

• Act as a clinical subject matter expert on psychiatric care delivery and medication management workflows.

• Work collaboratively with Product, Engineering, AI, and Clinical Operations teams on platform improvements.

• Provide clinical insights on products, tools, workflows, and technology projects.

• Facilitate the adoption of AI-driven workflows and quality initiatives.

• Partner with Marketing, Communications, and Public Relations teams.

• Engage in provider-oriented webinars, training sessions, educational content, and media opportunities.

• Maintain a small psychiatric client caseload of about 2-3 clinical hours each week.

• Support quality initiatives related to insurance and payers.


⛳️ Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in good standing.

• At least 5 years of post-licensure clinical experience in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and medication management.

• Proven leadership, supervisory, or management experience.

• Strong knowledge of psychiatric prescribing, risk assessment, documentation standards, and clinical quality management.

• Experience in investigating or addressing complex clinical, quality, compliance, or provider performance issues.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Superior written, verbal, and presentation skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with clinical, operational, legal, product, and executive stakeholders.

• Comfortable in a fast-paced, rapidly growing technology environment.

• Capable of managing competing priorities and driving projects to successful completion.

• A strong desire to enhance access to mental healthcare through innovation and technology.

• Ideally based or licensed in AL, GA, IN, MO, MS, NC, OH, TN, or TX.

• Preferred experience in delivering psychiatric services via telehealth.

• Experience in supporting or overseeing other psychiatric providers.

• Background in healthcare operations, quality assurance, utilization management, or clinical leadership.

• Familiarity with large provider networks or digital health organizations.

• Knowledge of state and federal telehealth and prescribing regulations.

• Experience with AI-enabled healthcare initiatives or healthcare technology products.

• Prior experience with UpLift or similar virtual care platforms.
